Confidentiality
-
Your privacy is at the heart of our work together. Everything you share with us during your contact, booking, and counselling sessions is treated with the utmost respect and in line with professional counselling ethics and UK law.
-
We use secure systems for both email and online forms to help ensure that your personal information remains private. These systems use end‑to‑end encryption, meaning that your messages are scrambled during transmission and can only be read by the intended recipient.
-
Any personal data you submit via our forms or email is stored securely and is only accessible by your counsellor. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.
-
Everything you discuss in your session—whether by phone or email—is kept confidential. Your details and the content of your sessions will not be shared with anyone without your consent. There are a few situations where we may be legally or ethically required to break confidentiality. These include when:
-
There is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else
-
There is a disclosure of child abuse or safeguarding concerns
-
We are required by a court order or other legal obligation
-
Where possible, we will always discuss this with you before taking any action.
-
-
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, unless we are required by law to keep it. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
-
If you have any questions about how your information is kept secure and confidential, please contact us before booking your session, using the "Get in touch" page.
